SpaceX's Starship rocket exploded on Thursday just a few minutes after it lifted off from a launchpad in South Texas. Despite being the most powerful spacecraft ever launched, it didn't manage to reach orbit, but it wasn't an entirely catastrophic failure for the private spaceflight firm.

The Launch System
The creation of a launch system made up of a Super Heavy rocket booster and a Starship spacecraft is the initial stage of the mission. 31 Raptor engines will power the Super Heavy rocket, which can launch the Starship spacecraft into orbit.
